Ethics Issue Reference Guides

Each of these Reference Guides is a short summary of an ethical issue. It includes a brief introduction to the issue's common Ethical Considerations and a literature scan.

These references are intended as a guide to some of the values, principles, theories and frameworks that may be relevant to the issue. It is hoped that the Questions for Exploring the Issue and some of the seminal articles listed will stimulate discussion and thought.

These lists can be used in various settings to initiate discussion on Ethics topics and situations. Each is designed so that it can be used for general learning, or as a springboard for discussing a particular case.

Your feedback on these guides is very helpful. Please let us know what you think and how we can make them better. If you have ideas for other topics, we would like to hear from you.

We would also love to hear how you are using them. If you have reviewed a particular issue or case, or have created similar summaries that you would be willing to share, please contact us.
